Your forum must have a Phpbb3 version, the theme won't be transferred either.

You need to use a crawler to extract the database, as already said.

Its a perl script that crawls through your users, post, topics etc and forms database files.

You must manually follow the instructions included within the zip file. You will also need a host to run the new forum.

The converter at phpbb is out-of-date. He keeps http://www.simplemachines.org/community ... c=188741.0 more up-to-date.

Also it's python not perl.

Its not out of date. You just have to replace a file in some 30+'th page to make it work.

The problem about these Free Forum Host, is they own the database and within their Terms of Services... It basically says, they will not release it.

So if you want to move to another host... You're out of luck.
