Hey guys!

I have created a forum like 4 months ago.Recently I am having service unavailability issues. My hosting provider is none other than the reputed "godaddy".I just don't know what to do now. I've contacted their support 6 times but each and every time the same problem has been repeating.

I am lost. I've paid more bucks to them and now i have the highest service available. But still.....I really don't know what to do.My OPF team is mad at me and so are the other users..Can somebody give me some suggestions regarding how I should proceed from this point on?
My error:503 service unavailable.
My forum URL:http://onepieceforum.net

503 usually means "Server Error". Sometimes this can occur due to changes made to your .htaccess file or even settings you may have changed in either your config file or ACP.

I'm able to see the forum now, is it just occasional?

yes collin. The probability of some random user accessing my site is just 45 percent now 🙁

This is possibly due to server load (for example, according to my application it will send out a HTTP 503 if the server load is >= 80%. It reduces load.

503s can also occur if the server is unreachable, due to a network issue.

Well I've upgraded to the highest level (level 3).Can i do something at my end?
P.S.My site is still new.

Shared hosting?

Yeah, and when my site was new(ish) I was serving 115k hits per month. That's a lot of traffic for a new site, and probably something similar is happening on your site, causing the 503.

Ah you're with go daddy. There's your problem.

Eh? Well,I don't have a credit card and godaddy accepts payments through debit cards.So....

Well that's why you're having issues. Don't host with registrars ever!

check your error logs to find the root of the problem.
a VPS is always better than shared. go for digitalOcean, they are the easiest to get started with and they they also have a lot of tutorials.

Can you recommend something else then?

I can recommend a list of hosts but the fact you don't have a credit card (or debit MasterCard/Visa) is an issue

Do you have a PayPal account? A lot of smaller hosts accept this as an option, if that's something you have. 🙂

A lot of hosts allow this. Not just the smaller ones.

If they have a CVV, they can be used *as* a credit card.

I have. But paypal isn't accepting my card

It should work. Does your billing address on PayPal match that of your banking? If not, they will decline it every time. Does it give you a specific error?
