Certain parts of South America and Africa are more advanced than the USA in this regard (not that that is difficult). Argentina and South Africa have already legalized same-sex marriage.

On a serious note, I'm all for gay rights becoming a main ticket issue in the United States. It disgusts me to see the overlap of church and state. On that same notion, polygamy should be legal as well.

People should be able to do what they want to do with other human beings when there is no harm. There's no reason the government should say "no, you can't get married".

I think your sexuality is not something you choose. I would say i'm for gay marriage. I have no reason to hate someone due to their sexuality. It doesn't concern me or effect me in any way, so why should i want to prevent other peoples' happiness?

Pedophiles cannot help having attraction to children, so the same, cold hard logic that you are using says it must be okay for them to do their thing. Please, I beg of you. Why is it wrong to love someone, even if they have the same sexual organ as you? Why is it a big deal AT ALL? Why is it SO WRONG? Please..I beg of you..tell me. I'm very interested to hear your reply.

Sorta same here. Whenever I'm out for a walk and bump into couples making out (it happens a lot), I have a nearly-unconquerable urge to ask them "Your parents don't let you do this at home?". It's not the act of love I find gross, but the place they choose to express it to eachother. What happened to public decency?

As for homo/bisexuality, I firmly believe that love isn't "gender-restricted", in fact one's gender has nothing to do with true love.

Why does it matter honestly, i don't get why people make such a big deal about it in the end. I honestly don't care who people love or want to be with in the end, it doesn't involve me so why should i make a big deal out of it? A boy and a girl were created in a form so they could marry and have offspring. There is a BIG difference between heterosexuals and homosexuals. I am conservative and strongly for traditional marriage. Two men, or two women were not made for each other. A man and a man, or two women were not any more supposed to be together than a cat and a worm.

For my opinion, I personally think that gay rights should be allowed because what right do we have to deny others marriage because its "icky"? None. And more specifically, what right does a government have to decide this? Even less. While I personally am not gay, nor have I or would consider ever being attracted to a man, I still think we should approve of gay marriage. 😕

There are a lot of political issues that come about with the issue of gay rights and marriage. A lot of it has to do with money, taxes, etc.

However, with gay marriage, I have nothing against that at all. Marriage is about love, and there is no book or religious book that tells us that LOVE is only between a man and a woman.

You're right. Gay people shouldn't be allowed to adopt children because they might get bullied.

Also, children with only one parent should be relocated to other households because other children might call them bastards. This might affect their well being.

Children whose parents have disabilities should also be relocated. They might get bullied because of their parents' disabilities!

Children who have poor parents should also be relocated. They might get bullied because they don't have nice clothes and shoes!

I'm on the fence with the adoption thing to be honest, but the points you just made are not valid because in all of those situations, the child has been born naturally to those parents, thats the main difference.
