t's not like being Jewish, it's impossible to change
Wait wait what? I mean I know that there were some Jews in WW2 that hitler "converted" and made into aryans or whatever nonsense but I don't think you can change your race. You can become religiously Jewish yes, but you're usually also ethnically Jewish 😛.

Jew isn't a race since people can convert.
They can convert to Judaism, sure. But that's just the religion, the Jewish people are a race as much as they are a religion, probably more.
Religions arent races, race is to do with a humans phenotypes (the chemical way in which an organism is made up- this can vary a persons skin colour and other physical characteristics). As far as I am aware, jews do not have a particularly different chemical structure to the rest of us.
I am Polish. That doesn't mean I am made any different than a German or a Brit. What you guys don't seem to get is that Jewish people aren't just a religious group, they're an ethno-religious group. The Jewish people have historically stayed together no matter where they went and as such became a group of people, not simply another religion. If it were not for this there would be no such thing as the Jewish race or religion as they simply would have assimilated into other groups.

One last thing. If someone is an anti-semite, that person is a racist. Now if someone says that they hate Christians they aren't racist, they're simply intolerant to the Christian faith. That's simply because that's all Christianity is while Jews are a distinct group of people :great:.

I agree Also. my grandmother is a Jew

and back onto the topic

And just to point out another thing.

when do we have the right to say if someone can be Gay or not? It is their own choice. I think about it this way they are not hurting us by being Gay

I think that in this day and age it would be really great if this was a non-issue.
But even though I am married to someone who is the same gender as me and I have been with this person for going on 18 years (a longer relationship than a lot of straight people I know) we are still battling with people that think a gay relationship is wrong, people telling me on the net our bits don't fit right and people that think a gay relationship is 'silly'
We had family members breaking down in tears when they where invited to our wedding because 'sob, I don't agree with it really but I don't want to upset you either'
It seems idiotic that I would have to explain or justify my marriage to anyone, so I tend to say stuff it, to serious homophobs. To just ignorant people I'll attempt to explain (using really short words) that no one chooses their sexuality, but if I could be, I wouldn't be straight, there are so many miserable people in this world, who feel the need to conform- and I never have felt the need to do that at all.

Well I am not gay. I am straight. But in australia they are trying to legalise gay marriage. and I think they should allow it as it is not hurting us and it will stop all these fights..

I worked in a gay nightclub for a year. I understand where they are coming from.. and gay people are actually nicer than straight people lol

I'll throw my opinions in here.

I used to be very anti-homosexual when I was younger. However, in the past couple of years I have become very open and liberal to the idea of homosexual people.

Personally, I think you can't tell people what they choose. A lot of it is really a religious or personal matter. What right anywhere do you have to tell someone who they can marry or who they can date or even what sex they can like? I mean if you really take a step back and realize what the world has become and what other issues countries and nations face worldwide, homosexuality is a very small issue every where. I am happy to live in a state where homosexual marriage is legal and allowed.

My friend, who is from USA, just got kicked out from his house because he is gay.
Can you imagine that one day your own mother starts to hate you so much that she wants you to move out immediately ? Why people can't understand how hard it is?

Everyone loves ice cream. Okay. Let's take someone who doesn't like ice cream. We hate him/her now. He/she is not normal.

Ice cream, sexuality, it's the SAME!

I have no problem with them at all ..WHY ? Should it matter to anyone as long as they are healthy and happy in their chosen sexual preference.

If they're over 18 then I don't see the mother at fault. Yeah you can say she's a bitch but she doesn't have to let someone live in her house, even if they're kin. Friend of mine was homeless for around 2 weeks since his mom kicked him out too, luckily she chilled after a bit and let him come back 😛.

They have no legal obligation to let them live in their house after the age of 18. I believe they have to gave ample notice or something, but my mother could kick me out of the house for being straight if she wanted.

Thats another issue if your gay your mother may not agree with it and kick you out.

I myself am straight but I dont care if someone is gay, homo or bi its there choice the personality is what counts in my option.

I think people who really are against (or even hate) gay people have their own repressed gay feelings deep down somewhere. They are angry and confused at themselves & that translates into disliking what they secretly are. 😛

I agree.

And i dont recall seing that being gay is a sin not that i can see in the bible itself.

Note: I am not religious in any way so do not hate on me. I just figured I would answer your question because I hear it all the damn time.

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"

1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

How anyone could base their lifestyle on a book wrote so many years ago and translated so many times is beyond me..

I can tolerate it although I don't support homosexuality. I'm not against it and I wouldn't harm anyone in any way because of the way they are.

Tolerate or not, "right" or "wrong", support or despise... It's all okay as long as we respect each other's point of view and don't try to impose our personal views onto everyone else.

I'm all for homosexual rights, and there might be a tiny bit of stereotype in here, but it's true - homosexual people are usually much nicer. xD

I actually come from a very conservative family and in my country gay people are still seen as 'weird'. I do have some gay friends though and learnt to respect their privacy and life. They are excellent people and their sex related choices have nothing to do with them being good humans or amazing friends
