phpbb does not recommend those hosts, those hosts paid to advertise there.

As for LunarPages, I would recommend to stay away from them as much as possible. FP started on Lunarpages, and we were effectively forced off them due to the amount of problems we had. Same goes for ForumAdvertiser, and my own site. ~neutral~

Yeah they moved me to some server telling me to get my resource usage down or they will suspend my account, oh and try to persuade me to spend hundreds of dollars a month on a dedicated server. What I did was move to another host temporarily then move back to Lunarpages a month later because I wanted to get my money's worth out of that year I bought. Every day after that I would check my email expecting to see more threats from them but they left me alone. The year ran out and I was done with them. They really didnt want to let me go though. They wouldnt take no for an answer. They even offered me 50% off a year. I was like "NO!" I do no wish to use your services anymore so stop wasting your time. They finally stopped. ~lol~

However phpBB would have checked the hosts over to make sure they are capable of running their software.

I heard blue host has horrible CPU limits.. So why would it be worth it to use them?

Well it depends what you have with them as I have been with them witha forum and it was fine and never had any problems but had a few other scripts installed on another account and it got reached. I don't know how they arrange it all over there but it is a hit or a miss, when it's a hit, they are a fairly decent host.
