How did you get into forums?

I used to get custom wrestling covers from someone on their website, then one day they stopped updating it. While looking for an alternative I came across a whole forum dedicated to it, and I've been using forums ever since.

Here was my journey:
Well i joined swapitshop.com as i saw it advertised in a magizine.
Then i was searching for codes and found SwapitShopForum.net. In the 'Link Heaven' section loads of people were making forums so i decided to make one my self. I was really crap at advertising. This is because i only advertised at that forum. Then i got told to advertise here. So i did. And that is how i starting getting into forums.

Hi @StickyXD ,

That was a good insight, I started on forums almost 10 years ago, I was on a forum for Star Trek Online which at the time had not been released. I was making fleets with people online. Then about 8 years ago I met a guy at my local cadets who was Frosty on here and phpBB Communities back in the day. I started on phpBB Communities, then hear 7 years ago.

It was one day in 2001, when I signed up to a mildly popular GameCube website, and then I became a writer for the site. I then started obsessively posting on forums. I joined many gaming sites until I built my own website in 2006, then became a full-fledged network in 2011. Still doing niche sites today, but that will end starting next year. I will now become platform agnostic.

I dabbled with forums even as far back as the 2000s. However, I couldn't stop the spam. In that case, I went into blogs, but later got back into forums as I started a forum posting job around 2015.

I started a forum for a clan "The Saints" on RuneScape that I used to lead back in 2003-2004. Today GamingBoards.net is a multi-game community that welcomes guilds, clans, and groups from any game, and we offer the clan "M3RCILESS" on RuneScape. :androidthumbsup:

Long story short, the first forum I ever used was on a MMORPG website that had a active forum userbase. I was probably 10 or 11 at the time. THis was ofcourse before the minimum age requirement for forums.
