I don't. I worry about my site, and not what other sites are doing around me. If I see something I like. I may implement it into my own site. I do check sites such as this one, and try to learn/grow from other admins, and stay updated that way.
I follow a few trusted sources like Search Engine Journal, Marketing Brew, and Reddit’s r/marketing for daily updates. I also set aside 15–30 minutes a week to skim newsletters or watch summaries on YouTube.
I am very careful with click-through rates vs interactions. It is easy to get boosts in clicks and views, but actually turning those into something useful is much more of a challenge. Otherwise, I generally just try new things and focus on what works while still adding new items to the list.
I've been into marketing, SEO, and everything in between for decades.
Personally, I keep up with the trends by following blogs, websites, and newsletters that talk about it. I also listen to podcasts when I'm driving alone to and from work and other places. Most of them are marketing related.
Lastly, I try to do the marketing activities as much as possible. I try to get that experience in.
