inspirASIAN said:My ISP just had a drastic change in terms of plans and pricing in an attempt to match the competition. I paid a whole darn lot for only 200 Mbps, but their new plan is now only asking roughly £40 for 100 Mbps. Well, colour me interested... having said that, I switched to that new plan in a heartbeat. Still no caps whatsoever, so it's an amazing deal.
Since I downgraded, they called me to ask if I want to sign up for their 1 Gbps plan. We are finally getting fast internet, but it strikes fear in my heart just anticipating the price; they still haven't announced it. If it's somewhere around £300, they got themselves a customer. It's more or less what I paid previously for merely 200 Mbps.
Competition is such a magical thing.
EDIT: Wow! It's a lot cheaper than I expected. My ISP called me earlier today and quoted me £130 for 1 Gbps — easiest decision ever.
Yep.Sharon said:It's crazy how FAST internet is now. At some point I start to wonder if the naked eye can tell a difference. I see 1Gbps being advertised with AT&T however it's not available in my area right now. To be honest I'm pretty content with my 200mbps connection.
