How often do you check your email?

I have to check mine a few times daily because if I don’t I end up with 100+ emails to read per day (so many are just marketing and junk but it’s easier to delete them throughout the day).

Way too often honestly.. I probably check it like 4 to 6 times a day which is definitely overkill... I've got notifications turned on so I see stuff as it comes in but then I also compulsively check it when I'm bored.

I mostly have my email application open when I am at the computer, when an email arrives I get a sound and I check it almost immediately. But when I am coding, the email application it's closed to avoid interruptions. I get almost zero spam since I use email forwarding and have an unique email for each website.

This thread has made me go and check out some old emails I have still in my inbox. I came across an old Forum Promotion newsletter, I don't even know who was the head admin when it was sent. So I really don't check my email that often, nor clean it up lol. It was sent on October 13th, 2013. Here's what the newsletter said:

Hello All,

I wanted to take a few minutes to send out a brief newsletter and let
everyone know of some things that have been happening around FP.

1. We are in the works of making a new theme for the forum, it is being
worked on very hard and we assure you the reason it is taking so long is we
are taking our time to make sure its perfect. We will though of course put
it up for vote where the community will decide which theme is set to
default.

2. We will be bringing the blog back, I will be adding the blog back this
week or next week at the latest and will insure it is updated frequently
with new, amazing content to help you all with your life as a webmaster, or

I have my emails notification on. So whenever I get a message I receive the alert. I only open the app when I want to send a mail.

Gosh, I check mines like 20 times a day, due to both my personal business and workplace. ^_^;
