How can i get more users on my forum, It just seems empty. Not enough activity.

It's been going for a whole year, and i have put it on Facebook and more. Plus i have post lots of threads on the forum, We have around 800 posts, It says 1600, but something went tits up when upgrading one time.

The link is: http://www.computer-support-centre.co.uk/ If you need to see.

The theme is nice, and it is easy to use, I have Google SEO installed, but still going slow.

Please help.

Why not request a forum review from me in Review HQ, I am confident of putting you on the right road.

The domain is very long to remember, you could probably shorten computer to PC if you're up to buying a new domain and having - in domains isn't the best thing in the world.

I used to use post-loop, I just don't really have a lot of money. But i will give it a go. And when my domain runs out In a years time, I will do that.

If you don't want to use post-loop, you can do some post exchanges with members here. We have an exchange section for that here, viewforum.php?f=47

right off the bat I see something wrong, your forum name is 'computer support center' but yet all I see is one little board called 'General Tech Support' mixed in with some other boards.

Unless your hiding more from guests, I suggest making more boards geared towards PC support and fill it with many useful topics that would help people.

I did have more forums with all of the forums focused on Tech and Computers. But i keep getting told that for a smaller forum, keep the forum count low, So that is what i have done, until my forum get's bigger.

That is true, however you still need to have boards focused on your forum's subject. All I am seeing right now is a general forum instead of a tech forum.

Well a programming forum, a gaming forum, a graphic design forum, a general tech support forum, they are ALL computer related, or fo you somehow disagree.

Not to discourage you, but the domain name is long and the hyphen does not help.

Good Luck though...

Just pointing out the obvious here, but gaming and graphic design doesn't have much to do with computer support. Your programming board is lacking in needed topics but your tech board is full of some good topics. You should try and focus on all the tech boards.

I do try, But I'm busy with school, and programming projects such as EchoBB, and a paid project.

Running a forum requires a lot of attention unless you have someone helping out. Maybe it's best to retire and resume when you have more time.

Nope, I'm not going to retire, here, I'm determined, I will try to put as much time as possible into it.

I had a computer support forum and I know how difficult it is to keep going. I ended up selling mine as I was not determined enough to keep it going. However you sound like you are so keep on. Its tough becuase the competition is tough, but I found with a good few mods/ regular posters, that they really helped out when I got stuck.

Computer-support-centre.co.uk

Here are my suggestions.
For one, get a shorter and easier to remember domain name and use .com, .net or .org

Also, merge Forum Ideas and Forum Complaints.
Your forum's name suggests that it is all for computer support. However, it seems to be a hub for tech discussions. You should change your name/domain to properly advertise your content and forum.
Along with that you are using the same skin as me! STOP! 😉 And I have a Chit Chat section as well! Grrr.

But yeah, with some tweaks you could be doing much better.
