There are a lot of free blog hosts, just like there are free forum hosts. Blogs are a great way of getting your site seen because they naturally rank well in search engines.

Installing wordpress yourself isn't that hard really. If you really want to you could install it one click through fantastico but the downside to that is you won't get any support from wordpress.
Looks really confusing.
But then again, I get confused by alot of things, such as why is that paper so shiny? I

The fact of the matter is, it's eas for some and not easy for others.
For those of us who install database applications on a regular basis it would be easy to assume we think everyone knows how, but it's not.
When I first got into forums I even remember going to the phpBB Support forum asking for help just on how to install it, I still know adults who ask for help.
The instructions can be quite vague, for example in wordpress they don't put "localhost" into the "Host" box as default, so if you didn't have a clue what localhost was, you would have a hard time installing it. ~razz~

Im pretty sure they do in 2.7, I just installed a copy today and it was pre-filled.Murder he Wrote said:
Anyway, I do agree with that. I had to watch a video in order to install my first true install of phpBB. However, once I got that under my belt I was able to install anyother software that used a database easy as pie. I try to push people todo it once, because thats usually all it takes. It doesnt hurt to know how to, even if you host freely later.
