How would you invest 10,000 GBP?

No, You mean loans. then there is an big factor to pay it off/back

If I had that much to put towards a business, I would invest in equipment that would last much longer than the equipment I currently have.

What if it wasn't a loan but a gift or lottery winning?
then I would add it to the save account, Since I don't own an business and if I did I wouldn't let myself to get in so bad. If I want to start an business I would think smart and go ahead with my budget.

that 10K will be used if there is an emergency

What if a Japanese god of mischief cursed you with 10,000 GBP, with the omenous claim that if you do not invest it in a business, you will be sentenced to ride the Tokyo to Kyoto train line in a loop for all eternity?

Let's not be a wimp. If you get the money, invest it ALL in business. YEAH!! 😀

That amount is good for a small business like food cart. It wouldn't be enough for a store or any business that needs to rent a place. Maybe it can do for trading farm produce. Called Middlemen, they buy cheap vegetables or fruits from the farm and reap a good profit when they transport the goods to the markets in the city.

For one, I'd be confused why a Japanese god is offering money in GBP. It sounds like the money was obtained through criminal methods (drugs, money laundering, fraud, etc). No one can live for eternity, and immortality wasn't promised. So, spending the rest of your life on a train is better than spending it in jail. Refuse the offer. 😀

Edit: I just thought about the trains here (NYC).... Ugh.

In a lot of countries it's good money for an internet business (if spent wisely), but not enough to buy something offline, except maybe a consignment shop (sort of like a small flea market).

I'd put it in a business savings account and let it rack up interest 😉

At the rate banks pay you these days, you'd be lucky to make $50/year with $10,000 😛
Maybe a business money market account so it's better invested. Idk it's a good amount of money but not really useful for big projects but if I let it sit there investing for 30 years the earnings could be paid out to the sole investor (me) for a wealthy retirement.

Since you didn't work for or borrow the 10,000, everything that is made is pure profit, assuming it's all going toward advertising, but some might go into building the site (or taxes) - but really, building a site doesn't take much money these days, maybe less than 500 or 100 USD.

Oh, of course, if you want the 10,000 spent back plus profit, then you're in some situation as with any other business, but the fact you got 10,000 to play with makes you lucky.
