Many new users get confused on how to set up their backups, I have offsite backups however if not set up correctly in Cpanel it can eat away at your space rather quickly.
As to the point above mine, the cost is getting a little out of hand but it's user preference and what you can afford.
You should definitely pay attention to the SSL features attached to your cPanel. SSL is basically a requirement for everything now, so you'll want to have Let's Encrypt or another kind of SSL installed and ready to go.
As for what others have said on the cost, I agree. The pricing is outrageous now, but WHMCS, IPB, etc. have all made similar moves.
