I'm assuming because of the labor tensions and accusations of unfair labor? 🙂

You'll be hardpressed to buy an American electronics piece. Even if it is "assembled" in the U.S.

Yes, I was going to elaborate on that but had character limit, so ill say now.

Like i was saying, Id no longer support apple, for moving production, Just so they can exploit people on extreme labor to make more money. People in other countries like America where the apple devices where made have lost their jobs. things should be made in countries other than china, and the Chinese should get proper fair paid good working conditions.

Since Apple makes so much money here, it would be nice to see them create some jobs.

To be honest we should be focusing now on the basics: texting, calling and using data (internet on your phone). 4G is taking forever to roll out and it seems to only be in the heart of cities. Some people in the US don't even get signal outside of some major cities.

I do agree that things seem to have slowed down for the iPhone's development since Jobs has been out of the picture, but there's also more to Apple than the iPhone. They've already got a great product with it, so they're likely developing other products instead of cramming more features into an already great and widely used product.

Since there's too many posts for me to reply to individually, I just thought I'd bring out some features that needs to happen. I'm with ZINC, the simple things are being left behind. For example, why should I have to double click the home button, click on an app, and wait for it to load? Why can't we take advantage of gestures; like the Cydia tweak below.

There are people without 4G?

I seriously thought it was rolled out in the U.S. xD

One of Apple's (well, Foxxconn's) largest factories is in Brazil.

Apple has already created tens of thousands of American jobs (hint: there are thousands of American engineers who are paid handsomely by Apple). I assume you want American manufacturing, but that'd just be stupid given our labor market. All that would turn into are lower profit margins (resulting in Apple raising the prices on their products).

Yes Apple hasn't had much innovation recently, but a phone's a phone, you can't expect tonnes of innovation at this stage in technology, because we've done so much already!

Are our phones really phones, though? I'd argue that we're carrying around computers with phone capabilities. 😛

I think there's plenty of innovation to be had. Moore's Law basically tells us that processing speed, memory capacity, etc. grows exponentially. Our mobile devices are only going to get better and better from both a hardware and software perspective. We've basically integrated the computer, camera, video camcorder, mp3 player, video game handheld, and cell phone all into one device that fits in your pocket.

Video calling could become more of a standard if the service providers are able to improve things further. It will likewise help itself as more and more people get mobile devices and service capable of a smooth video call.

I like that the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a lot of weather components (thermometer/barometer/etc.) built-in. To me, that's a simple add to the multitool. I'm hoping that becomes an industry standard. Mainly as a possible way to mine data to create super super accurate weather reporting.

From a software perspective, I think we're en route to eliminating the need to carry a wallet. That's a good thing. The less crap people have to carry in their pockets the better. I've already used barcode scan apps for loyalty cards but some of the 'touch'/NFC-based technologies that are coming will be a huge step forward.

I would agree with you here for a large part. I really feel we need more innovation in the iPhone. But at the same time, I'm rather disappointed at the state of improvement in android and W8 phones. We really need to shift focus to producing eco-friendly materials, making the products cheaper, making them safer, making them healthier, and etc. I don't see any company, niether Apple nor Google heading in that route yet.
