Insane Domain Prices for Meaningless Numbers

Ok, that's true. But it does give it value and I'm sure it has some kind of authority after 18 years. Or maybe the seller lives on hopes and dreams.

Question is who would by an domain like that? who has the balls to spend that amount on an domain name that's pointless

Very old domains - even with good names - sell for far less on the internet. I mean, I'm talking between $1000 and $10,000 at the most.

If it's 18 years old with no drops then it's worth it.
Domain Age is not really relevant anymore. Not if it has just been sitting on a parking page for the majority of those years.

Research the significance between numbers and Chinese culture. 😉
This. Most of the value is coming from the Chinese domain market, which is big. This then gets other domain investors to buy them to try to sell at a higher price later.

@Jordan
Lmao, I would never spend that kind of money on a domain like that.

From my understanding from being around the domain market, is the numbers have gone up in popularity based solely on the fact of domain investors. Meaning, domainers are pretty much giving it value because they are grabbing them up to sell them on at higher prices, which then artificially inflates the prices.
