Hey guys. A few weeks ago I got pokemon crystalon Amazon. It works great and I looked online to find my answer and came up empty. I mean, it says Nintendo Game Boy TM like it's supposed to. What's your verdict?
It could just be the image, but it looks fake, and I don't remember the art on the cartridge looking like that either....plus the artwork seems 'blurry' to me, which is a sign of it being fake.
I'm also leaning towards fake. It looks like a Gameboy casing. Crystal was made with a Gameboy Color casing. It's most likely a fake, especially if there's no safe battery in it, which from the photo, doesn't look like there is?

The color of the case also had specks of other colors if I remember correctly. The question I asked above would be a sure fire test.
(Truthfully though, if it works fine, I say go with it.)
Edit: thanks for the picture above (on my phone), the OP is definitely a fake
If it works, it works. I'd be hesitant to purchase games like that offline. Often times, you can find it at a local shop. If you need to find it online, Gamestop has a great selection of retro games for decent prices. Worst case scenario is that you'll have to replace a battery. If Amazon is your go to, read reviews and only buy from trustworthy sellers.Even though we confirmed it's a fake, I can't afford to replace it at the moment so I'm going to play it till I can get a legitimate copy

Enjoy it though, catch me a Lugia please
