It's All About Music - For Those Who Love Music

Re: It's All About Music - For Those Who Love Music (TM)

Just keeps getting better and this week we have been ranked in the top 20 by Forum Topsites out of 500 plus sites.

If+These+Trees+Could+Talk.jpg

If These Trees Could Talk is a post- rock instrumental group from Akron, Ohio. The band, commonly abbreviated as "ITTCT", plays a heavy shade of instrumental post- rock.

Although their debut EP follows the HydraHead and Neurot school of thought, it ’s fair to say it’s not a direct result as much as they share common influences: Pink Floyd, King Crimson, and other progressively minded rock bands. If These Trees Could Talk is certainly a rock album, although the use of reverb and delay make the music very amicable to fans of “post-rock” music.

Re: It's All About Music - For Those Who Love Music (TM)

Hello everyone,

We are a music forum that is growing each week. However, more members who love music is always better. A member driven site so you can make the forum even better. We are the most organized music site of our type. Record Labels asked us to promote two groups of which we did last month with great success.

We are a monetized advanced hosted board so our site earns $$$ of which are used to provide prizes from time to time. We are also a Trade Mark and Copyright board in the U.S.

We are proud to announce our partnership with two hot Metal sites of which you may have seen here:

http://www.headbangershaven.com and http://www.louciferspeaks.com both are on our staff as Global Mods.

We are seeking a Hip/Hop Mod and Pop Mod. You need to be a member for a month and have 100 posts but once you join the site you will see why we have such a standard. We do conference calls with Skype so all Team members must have a skype account.

Our Team criteria is here http://www.itsallaboutmusic.net/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=646

Join up and have fun.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cher

Cher (pronounced /ˈʃɛər/;[1] born Cherilyn Sarkisian on May 20, 1946)[2][3] is an American recording artist, actress, director and record producer. Referred to as the Goddess of Pop,[4] she has won an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, three Golden Globes, a Cannes Film Festival Award and a People's Choice Award for her work in film, music and television.

Cher began her career as a backup singer and later came to prominence as one half of the pop rock duo Sonny & Cher with the success of their song "I Got You Babe" in 1965. She subsequently established herself as a solo recording artist, and became a television star in 1971 with The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, a variety show for which she won a Golden Globe. A well received performance in the film Silkwood earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1984. In the following years, Cher starred in a string of hit films[5] including Mask, The Witches of Eastwick, and Moonstruck, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1988.

Cher is the only female solo artist to reach the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100 in each of the previous four decades.[6] Her hit dance single "Believe" is her biggest-selling recording and was the best-selling single of 1999,[7] having sold over 10 million copies worldwide.[8] She holds the Hot 100 record for the longest hit-making career span, with 33 years between the release of her first and most recent #1 singles, in 1965 and 1999.[9] Cher ended her 3-year-long "Farewell Tour" in 2005 as the most successful tour by a female solo artist of all time.[10]

With a career lasting over 45 years, Cher has sold over 100 million records worldwide.[11] After a three-year hiatus and retirement from touring, Cher returned to the stage in 2008 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas where she is currently performing her show Cher at the Colosseum.

Spotlight #25 – It’s All About Music!
November 8, 2010, 7 Comments

Ah, it’s time to sit back and relax. We’re back into the normal routine. One forum per day, six per week and then a weekly winner is crowned.

Click here to visit It’s All About Music!

What better way to get back into the swing of things than by featuring It’s All About Music? This forum knows where it’s at. I’ve been listening to an unusual amount of music this week, so It’s All About Music stood out when I saw it. The featured band right now is Live. Live is an excellent band in my opinion. Right away I knew that the forum would be including of the kind of music I listen to, not just the Pop music on the radio today.

Before I get caught up in all the reasons I like the forum, let me throw out a few suggestions. I don’t think that having an advertising banner at the very top is a good idea. When a user is at the top of a forum, they expect to see the forum’s menu. It throws the layout off. Next to the banner, the slogan of the forum is cut off. The font size needs to be decreased so that it will fit. Other than that, I don’t see much I don’t like.

There are categories for all kinds of music. Better yet, sections like “Classical” have a lot of topics. I wouldn’t expect that many people would be into Classical music on this forum, but they are. It shows the depth of the forum and the wide variety of taste that the members have. Metal and Rock are the most popular categories, which is expected. I could live there.

What I like about the music discussions here is that the topics aren’t just “What is your favorite band?” There are concrete band, musician and instrument discussions. You will find a lot of cool bands here. The members are more than willing to suggest great bands and some of their favorite songs. It’s almost heaven for music lovers.

There is a cool music player on the board index. It features a wide variety of music that members love. It has lots of good songs and isn’t annoying. There is also a sizable general chat section for when you get bored of music (if that’s possible). It’s an all-around pretty cool forum, and it’s well-deserving of the first forum spotlight of November.

Re: It's All About Music - For Those Who Love Music (TM)

It's All About Music (IAAM) is going on its 2nd year and we are alive and kicking. We have 15 bands from across the world that have joined us many of them signed artist. Why did they join IAAM, because they love music. Some have provided our Radio Station with voiceovers, CDs, posters and more for contests.

Our station streams 24x7 we have featured DJs and the forum itself is chalk full of music across multiple genres. We are an open forum, meaning you do not need to join to post or chat. Do we want you to join sure, but we know some prefer to just pop and drop and that's ok too.

IAAM has an exclusive share feature with http://www.grooveshark.com if you are member at the Shark you may embed your players on IAAM. We are one of the few if not the only phpBB site that has this feature. Currently nearly 600 players have been shared.

Search for your favorite artist, if we do not have them, then feel free to share them with us.

If you love music as much as we do, please stop on by and give us a Look and a Listen.
