use both, desktop for work, laptop will use instead of desktop if need to move.

I feel both have their advantages though for portability I prefer my Macbook

Depends on the person. For work and travel a laptop is always preferred. As far as gaming and programming desktop by far.

I prefer a desktop PC. Although I like now that laptops have USB options where you can plug in a mouse and a legit keyboard. Because the early models had no such thing.

All depends on your needs, if you need productivity on the go then obviously a laptop or tablet, if you are a real power user, i.e. gamer or digital media specialist, then a desktop is preffered. If you want to do those things on the go then you will be paying a premium for its portability.

This is very true. I don't get how people undertake such resource hogging tasks on their handheld devices and then complain later on of low battery power or eventual mechanical failure. These devices are for light-work. Not non stop web browsing or high level gaming.

Laptops too because of how convenient they are to use and they are portable, and some are as capable as desktops when it comes to gaming or video stuff.

You are right with the portability. My orientation with computers is the desktop because in the office, the desktop is the official issue for employees in our department. But when I was assigned to handle 2 units in different locations, our office gave me a laptop. It was difficult at first although I am now used to it considering that it's been 3 years since it was issued to me. But I am using a corded mouse because I am not comfortable with the track pad. And with the portability, yes, it's a great computer that I can use almost anywhere.

Desktops all the way. Been using it for like 12-13 years(and I'm like 19), and Laptop always seems like an inconvenience everytime I use it.

I prefer desktops. What I like in them is that you can upgrade them, easily repair them and they have large screen, keyboard and mouse.

I prefer desktops because we can build, upgrade and play game more comfortable than laptops which cost us more money to repair.
