Also, if you guys read their press release, it states there is no way to officially shut down limewire servers because well there isn't any 'servers' thats the beautifully form of P2P peering & tracking, even if Limewire removes the download from the face of the earth, if you still have it on your computer. You can still use it to download just as you were.

No, Limewire disabled the p2p aspect of its software as per the injunction, it bricked my copy of Limewire.

Might have done that, however you can still use LimeWire if you know well enough, as you cannot just shutdown LimeWire's so called server as it seems you think there is one, there isn't there is NEVER a server with LimeWire's program.

Indeed, the power of P2P

Limewire, in a nutshell is just the means of finding a something you want to download. Because its P2P your not actually downloading from a server, your downloading from another person. There are plenty of better and safer methods and site to use to download whatever you need. You can continue to download using P2P or private P2P sites like PirateBay, IPTorrents, BitGamer etc. Or you download from servers which is the least likely method for you to get caught. Sites like Megaupload, Rapidshare, Depositfile etc.

I used limewire to download music when i first started using the net 😀, I do live streaming now on youtube for music, and i download legit music from DJ who offer music for free. This is not a loss to me in anyway 😀

YouTube is shit quality. The bitrate for audio is a whopping 128kbps.

You must have terrible speakers, or the downloaded file you have must be low quality. If you pop in a CD and compare that with YouTube, you can hear the difference

I've got a pretty low end, but powerful, set of speakers in my room and the difference between CD and Youtube is very noticeable. I can imagine what it sounds like on a high end set.

Ive got 5.1 speakers, or i can use my Hifi, or my head phones, yet all sound the same when watching the video on youtube.

About time. That place was a load crap and full of viruses and false music and videos which turn out to be porn or something instead.

Wait a sec... fuck. Now all the 10 year olds, 1337 haxors and kiddie porn uploaders will find themselves a new network to infest...

I see no difference in downloading music and watching the video on youtube.
Same here unless you want to listen on the go like on your ipod.... Limewire is not the only option for music, there are more better ways...
