Well since Viggit has since disappeared, I am looking to move to a new host. While I attempt to recover my data, I'm looking for a host that will not be a repeat of what Viggit has proven to be.

I'm looking for reasonable prices, but also something that is plentiful with features and whatnot.

http://hawkhost.com I've been with them for several years.

Thanks, I'll keep them on the list, shame though their cheapest plan can't be paid month to month.

I use Interserver!

I recommend them 🙂

I have a coupon code you can use which gives you the highest hosting package for only $1.99/mo

Thanks Milk, I'll check them out.

Still looking to hear from other people. 🙂

Hi,

If your forum website has under 1000 members and maximum simultaneous online members do not exceed 200 then you should probably host at instafree.com

They provide free shared hosting with the cPanel and everything that hostgator provides, at 0 $$$. I am hosting my forum there and haven't had a single black out so far. I will probably upgrade my plan to premium when I have HEAVY activity. You should definitely check instafree. They are good.

I appreciate it, but I prefer not to use free hosting with limitations, just because I have had issues with most free hosts. I appreciate it though. 🙂

Haha you sure are underestimating instafree 🙂
If you got money to spend, that's ok.
But I am only suggesting a way that will save you tons and instafree is super awesome!

10GB space
100GB bandwidth/month
Mysql size uncapped
original cPanel (TM)
email and cron job and softaculous etc.
My forum is currently on their free shared plan and doing great. When I have heavy load then I will move it elsewhere.

It even ran vBulletin 5 effortlessly. You get the idea. Btw I am only suggesting and no, I am not being paid for recommending their service lol.

I just started using StableHost. Decided to go with a big host company rather than a one-man-band kinda thing so that customer support is a priority.

Their response time to tickets is incredible. If you're interested let me know (I'll give you my affiliate link and you can get 40% off).

^ This. I have had issues with Hawk in the past but they were all fixed pretty quickly. 🙂

Giorgios you can try Host1plus. They're a very affordable and professional web host. We host our community with them for as low as $2.95 a month. Haven't had a problem in 3 years of service. They also offer REAL TIME chat with one of their representatives when you need assistance.

PM'd you about your hosting issues. I am thinking about starting up a hosting business. I have a place to host and everything but I am wanting to get some playing clients before I actually pay for the hosting and get it set up.

Really...all I need is 1 paying client and I am good. We can talk via AIM, PM, or Skype about this. 🙂

I never got a PM from you.

Still looking for host recommendations. 🙂

Well, you will in the next few minutes. 🙂

Still looking to hear from other people, I'm starting to narrow my choice down. 🙂
