Any of you guys use www.mega.co.nz? I love it. It would have to be my fav. cloud storage site and you get 50Gb for free!

Do you use a cloud storage site like MEGA or DropBox? What do you like about it? 🙂

I'm going to go ahead and say 99.99999999999999%. Good Drive is great. That stuff is here to stay. It is like a cockroach in a nuclear fallout.

I doubt it. Have you not heard of Kim Dotcom? He cares a lot about his public image in New Zealand and he has hired a trustworthy CEO too.

I find it very interesting that this is the opinion of MEGA.co.nz- it would seem they have a lot of work to do to change perceptions. 🙂

That's the timeline.

He won't be extradited or charged because:
- He was spied on illegally.
- The police raid did not have proper warrants. Thus it was also illegal: "http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/new-zealand-high-court-kim-dotcom-raid-illegal-343012"
- The NZ public supports Kim Dotcom (for the most part) because: a) We're now liable to be sued by him because of the US <-- Which is pathetic and annoying. b) The US did not give adequate information to the New Zealand police (which made them look like a bunch of idiots at the time of the raid). c) It seems as though the US was looking to target someone outside of it's own country where it still benefits (i.e. it didn't target a file sharing site that had a US owner). d) Kim Dotcom complied with all DMCA takedown notices. e) He gave movie producers access to take down files themselves!

People have differing opinions- that's mine. I'd prefer to talk about different cloud storage options rather than Kim Dotcom though 🙂

He's not the type of individual I would allow around my children, or use his service. I'm not sure why your such a big fan since Google Drive - a reputable company with a CEO not arrested in his mansion might I add - and services that last. 😉

Fair enough- he's probably not the most ethical of people. I suppose I support him over Google Drive because Google isn't the most ethical company either and Mega.co.nz bases itself in NZ. 🙂

Well I guess there would be more prominent cloud storage companies out there. Not sure how much I trust this Mega site however.

- Corporate Taxes
- Privacy Issues
- Less Control Over Your Files
The list goes on and on. 😛

And Google has a reputation for having its staff being arrested in foreign countries. They apparently don't always make the best choices?

I'd also like to add those are all problems bigger companies run into eventually. I'll actually admit those are true 😉
