MegaUpload is removed

MegaUpload.com has been taken down by FBI (?). It does not exist anymore. It was one of the most popular websites in the world.

One of the world's largest file-sharing sites was shut down Thursday, and its founder and several company executives were charged with violating piracy laws, federal prosecutors said.

And Kim Dotcom got arrested.

I actually just heard about this on Twitter. It's highly fishy if you ask me. A few months ago it was unavailable for a day because of an ordered DNS takedown. Now it's been shut down? SOPA and PIPA don't need to be passed, because it's already happening.

Actually the investigation for this site began 2 years ago. But I don't think it's just a coincidence.

It doesn't, as it doesn't stop piracy in the slightest. All this means is that profits for other file hosting sites will rise temporarily unless MU doesn't come back, which it should
