Members Join but then go inactive why??

to be honest Sat/Sun im on 10 hours a day and weekdays 4 hours (after 2pm)

Good. Then promote as much as you can during that time.

Set a goal for yourself for 5 exchanges a day and 5 forum cash exchanges. Open a shop to earn FP or something.

Good Idea🙂 im might be able to open a shop up soon if i get time after adding and updating the forum

Good. Then also take advantage of the FP services. If you're not sure what servers to offer check out my thread it has tons of things you can add to your shop.

Thanks i will try to add the shop when i get time
thanks for your help

Oh...

Your website is not loading, downtime?

Try mass e-mailing with what's new in your forum. If they left back then, what changed from that time to now? state it in the email.

Provide them with the best stuff about your site. Write a professional one with 99% clean of errors. Possibly 2-3 paragraphs.

Looks like you have given up on it and just closed the forum;
These forums are closed I tryied my best to keep the Community Alive in the end we lost ...

BTW i havent given up on foruming all together and never will

I know but 1 year with 2000 Posts? Advertise Hotspot got 50,00 in a year i havent giving up on owning A Forum starting fresh may work out better

-- 13 Jun 2011, 23:02 --

Whats a good open source software to start a Webmaster forum on

It does not matter how old your forum is or how many posts it has, if you are determined to make something of your forum it will happen whether that be a year down the line or 5 years down the line. Advertise Hotspot got that many posts because it had a huge following, you shouldn't compare your forum with others because they have found their own route to what you would call success but you must find your own way.

If you feel the best way is to start again, then you should go with your heart but when it is starting a forum that is exactly the same would it really be worth it?

As for forum software the only half decent open source software are phpBB, myBB and smf. 🙂

You have a good point im unsure should i start again or keep going with the same forum i might choose Phpbb or move existing forum there

You could always convert to another forum software if you want a change 🙂

Yep, Mybb Doesent have many good Templates I might go to Phpbb Only problem harder to install Modifications
