Music while you sleep?

I have headphones in until the last minute, which sometimes gets me nearer to sleep and sometimes has the reverse effect. It can get to a point where you start to fall asleep then the music wakes you again, or you start jamming instead of singing. Might just be the fact that I'm not into the right music for it, I'm a big rap fan which isn't too well suited to the purpose. 😀

I can't imagine sleeping to rap... Too much bass lol

I use my ipod and sleep to fan sounds or hz frequencies like a normal weird person! :shifty:
I have this strange need to keep my mind focussed on something so rap ends up being better than silence after I turn the phone off. What music do you like, anyway? Other than to sleep to?

Video game music... lol

Also like things like Blackmill. I don't listen to many songs with lyrics these days.

No waaaayy I listen to lyrics much too intently >.< I wish! I like whitenoise and wavescapes and shit tho

Sometimes as it helps ease my mind and I'm able to relax much easier, though sometimes it only adds to whatever it is that's keeping me awake.

I've tried to do this and I can't sleep with music playing. I always want to sing along and then I don't go to sleep. XD

Nope, I don't listen to anything while I sleep though sometimes I fall asleep with the TV on.

I listen to sounds of nature. A sleep meditation to help me drift to sleep. It really works.

When I was younger, yeah. There was a certain CD I'd have on repeat every night, but somehow I just phased it out. I think it was because I started keeping my fan on nightly, without fail, even if it was wintertime. That, too, has been phased out as of recently (since moving). So… No, not currently, but used to 🙂

I used to could do music when it was time to sleep. That was when I was kid that was listening to the same country music as his mom. Now that I listen to pop and rock I can't sleep with it... it keeps me awake and singing haha.

I don't listen to music while I sleep Kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it? But I suppose it helps some people sleep better. For me, I'm in space once the lights are out.

During my younger years, music was always my companion. When I would review for an exam in school, my transistor radio would be by my side as if it was inspiring me to study. At bedtime, I would lower the volume of the radio so people in our house wouldn't hear. But when I started working, I didn't notice that I was being alienated with music. Maybe the office culture had changed my lifestyle and liking for music. And now, I cannot sleep when there is music. I want a quiet bedroom.

I would want a bedroom with good music in such a way that it doesnt strain mine as well as the ears of those around me.

I watch an movie then music at night when trying to sleep

i cant sleep with out music, it needs to be something mellow for me to fall sleep

I can't stand music while I sleep. It has to be complete silence all the time, otherwise I get distracted and wake up.

I never tried to listen to music while sleeping.
Though I would try to listen to some ambience some time when sleeping.
