It is a Toshiba, 1 Terabyte harddrive. It runs smooth. Running Windows 2003 Server.

I originally had a server pad for it (it is on the carpet, it does get hot) but I can't find it. There is some random crap on top of it which I need to find a place for (cat wire and mouse)

I love it. When something in the core fuctions goes wrong affecting the output, the emergency light blinks and it has been rigged to play a tornado siren. Here is the actual one: http://rankupforum.fi.st/siren.wav

I put it so it wakes me up and it gets attention. Thought it would be cool to share.

The siren idea is the coolest thing in the entire world. That sound is so mind-blowing...

 I like it.

I want it to be my life's theme song. You know something's gonna go down when you hear it.

Cool looking server. The siren idea is cool. I never knew Toshiba made tower desktop computers. I never seen one in a store before.

I think it is an old computer as well since there is a Windows 95 or 98 logo on the bottom right of the desktop pc.

Was it originally an old computer, or was it bought as a server?
Both. The computer was sold to be a server. Meaning it has many neccesary parts and has been suited to run for very very long spans of time.

It can be used as a computer, but it was intended as a server 🙂

And the siren was a great feature. Took a while to make work right though. It really gets your attention. Nothing like a natural disaster siren 😛

That's kick-A** bro. Love that siren sound. I bet it gets your attention lol and everyone else in the house.

I doubt the connection from his internet at home would be fast enough to use

This. A good home connection: Amazing down, very very slow up.

I don't host it for the costs and it requires (nearly) constant alert. Since I have a really busy life that would be near impossible. If I host it, I want to provide the greatest service I can, I can't do that if I am at work and out most of the day.

Pretty cool man. However I would use freebsd or openbsd for my server OS ,thats just me though.

1 TB hard drive
4.00 GB RAM
Win 2003 server

That's all I know off the top of my head really. I can look tonight if you want anything more indepth.

It runs headless, however a emergency monitor is kept as remote desktop crashes the server for unknown reasons right now

Decent. CPU?

What do you mostly use it for? Since it's on a home connection you can't really do anything and everything on it. D:
