I wish you guys would stop calling it hacking, there was no sql injection or any attack, simply those kids got the password to Chris's domain registrar and edited the index. I see no hacking, I see script kiddies running around with little keylogger scripts and Chris probably fell for it. I have no idea what happened but MYBB is pretty damn secure .

That sure explains why they want to take down scriptkiddie hackforums :lol:

@People calling MyBB sooo secure.... I guess thats why they have released so many security patches huh... If it was so secure it woudn't need patching... Just like any software it has its faults... When they find them they fix them...

They also have the MyBB database and threatening to leak the database just like they did with WHMCS.

Sorry, I was in a hurry last night it was uznazi but they seem just as bad as Anonymous hackers..

But what I don’t get is if they hate hacking forums, why are they hacking this does not make sense because there not any better than anyone on HF, Also going after A open source project is phatic..

Im also hoping that they do not relase the database because if that gets released my passwords, information and username is going to get

realised to the public, and please do research before saying that they are just script kiddies, if they released the WHC database im surprised what

they will do with a great software like mybb..
They seem pretty secure in my books so this group knows what they
were doing. Mybb better take legal action this is serious enough plus

almost thousands of user’s information are under risk, Inlcluding my sites domain.

Think I care? If your system has exploits and is insecure that's your fault not mine. I don't see hackforums getting hacked, they sure sound like hackers now! You believe everything you read on-line don't you? Just because they say they have access to a MYBB DB of users doesn't mean nothing. What's the point of obtaining access to MYBB db anyway? It's free software, think before you post.

This is pathetic that you carnt even own a site on the internet without people breaking in, or bringing it offline in another way. Sometimes i think there's no point if these things are going to happened to every site atleast once in its life time...

I read a quote from them that there attacks will countuie and they will always be watching them

It was an isolated attack. All MyBB forums are safe.

No they are not. They're hosted offsite.

The mybb files are hosted on a file sharing site so the files should be safe snd so should all your forums, as Nathan said it was an isolated attack.

It appears there blogs backup, They are recovering fast 🙂

The server was down for a short period while the servers were rebooted. As changes are made you might see that once or twice but it would be all good within the next week.
