MyBB SQL Error - 1040 - Too Many Connections

Yes, but I was learning more as the conversation went along. D: Way to kill it. :S

What's the speed like on the free WHYI package? Any good?

Not to advertise, but click the first link in my signature to see the speed.

Mmm, it's not amazing, but it's bearable...

But hey, you get what you pay for. 😛

It uses about the same amount of MySQL as most other forum software. 12 forums in three categories + ~50 posts is only taking up 130 MB. Try that with phpBB, you'll get about the same results.

ok but compared to a vB i know for a fact it runs alot of sql Queries just going to a page and default install is already about 120 MB (MySQL) and idk whats with your Mybb but mine is 1.32 MB (MySQL) with 401 posts in 72 threads,ALOT less then vB.

Just discovered how to make it not reject people.

Go to Config>Settings>Server and Optimization settings>*NIX Load Limiting

Set it to 0.

Seems like you never used a VPS, don't blame ya lol

In the mysql config file (my.cnf) theres a line you can add which's causes the max connections (line saying max_connections = x, x = the number the host set)
But only the host can edit this file

MyBB's default is 5.0.

*NIX Load Limiting
Limit the maximum server load before MyBB rejects people. 0 for none. Recommended limit is 5.0.

No its not, it says recommended and i never touched that setting on my mybb and its 0

Limit the maximum server load before MyBB rejects people. 0 for none. Recommended limit is 5.0.

Not Mysql connections -.-

@darkly,
lol im support team lead there XD such a small work eh

I used them before and when you make free hosting there they give out random amounts of space and bandwidth etc
