Look like it is not unique anymore. I have just seen a new forum that offer the same thing.

It is unique, just other forums are copying the idea. We came up with it ๐Ÿ˜‰

Its pretty sweet. Did you copyright it so no one can steal it? or did you guys/gals find it on another forum?

Doesn't the first post say 100% unique ๐Ÿ˜‰

As for copyrighting it, I'm not sure ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah everything on the forum is legal copyright to forumpromotion.net and its respected owners.

Also loving the new service, I'm trying it with the prelimanary requests as you can see from the annouce topic. ๐Ÿ˜›

Lol, FP cannot copyright the act of placing ads next to a quick reply box. Im sure others will be using this idea soon.
Anyways, to be honest it makes the bottom area of the forum look cluttered. The quick reply looks odd squished over to the side so ads can be loaded next to it.

Well, we just can't please them all ๐Ÿ˜‰

But, seems a majority of the members are thrilled with the new service idea.

Well with the ads squished next to the quick reply box and the Staff Affiliates right under it, its just a mess of images and text. Good intentions with trying to improve your services, but if they make the forum look cluttered / tacky, was it really worth it?
๐Ÿ˜‰

110% worth it, i believe. Whatever we can do, to get our members' forums that little bit of extra recognition for their forum.

Trust me, this idea went through many forms and tests before it was ready; and the staff, as well as the members; were pretty excited with the final product. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice effort at trying to steal my line ๐Ÿ˜‰

Looks like it's only you and Spyka that have a problem with it. In response to your question, yeah it was worth it. Why else would the requests have filled up so quickly?

All we care about is providing a quality promotion platform. :great:

The requests were filled up so quickly due to the fact that you had a preliminary request topic and members were excited about the upcoming service, plus it only has 6 spots in the service at any one time anyway, so your going to be closing/opening the request forum a lot anyway, whether it's a popular service or not.

I think it looks good where it is, and the quick reply is meant for a quick reply, so there is no need for it to be a very large box, otherwise it wouldn't be a quick reply, would it? Anyway, it doesn't look cluttered in my opinion, but I think you should make this your last service where the visual of FP is changed, as otherwise the forums will just be overloaded with ads.

:great:

The preliminary request topic was surprisingly unpopular. We struggled to even get the initial 6 requests in there before opening the service. It was only after the service was opened is when the flood of requests came in.

Anyway, this week we'll be experimenting with 8-10 forums in the featured area as this will significantly reduce the queue and I honestly don't think it make much difference on the forum's exposure.

Finally as Efc has mentioned this will be our last service unless one of the others is retired. Partly because like you say it will over-fill the forums with ads, and secondly because it takes a long time to update the services, especially featured forum.

you could have a staff who do nothing but update those? just an idea lol

It would involve giving people access to the acp which we don't really want to do. We want to keep the number of people with ACP access as low as possible as it just would cause more and more problems and risks.

o true. i see your point and i agree ๐Ÿ™‚ if you did that it would have to be some trustworthy members lol

Just wanted to commend the admins and the person who came up with the idea...
I have to say from the time this has been up the new featured forum thing is probably giving out so much exposure it isn't funny... I've noticed tons of different sites down there and have cut away from replying in quick reply just to read the sites description.

Great work on the new service, it's doing well and i'm getting used to the new position of the quick reply box.

I've already found myself clicking on some of the links after reading the description or seeing the image.

Good Work.
