Congrats!!1 more pound gone! That makes 5 out of my 10 so I'm on schedule. Since I only lost 1 pound this past week, I need to rethink some of my meals. I may have had more calories than I realized, but also, I'm doing more weights for my arms so that makes a difference too for weight.
I think the last 5 will be more difficult. I'm getting bored of eating eggs and cheese for breakfast, but it's no carb and that has helped me a lot. Now I'm wanting carbs again though.
Congrats!!
Some people do a version of Keto & are strict M-F but allow for a bit more carbs on the weekends. It may or may not work for everybody.
That's a lot of ups and downs, I hope you're able to hit that sweet spot soon and keep there as you continue to lose weight! All the best!I was on a plateau for a while, but things are finally kicking in and I only have 3 more pounds to go to meet my goal. Wow, it's hard.
I am on thyroid medicine because my thyroid was removed 5 years ago and the medication for the past 3 months has been too strong. The doctors have reduced it twice now and I'm starting to feel that I'm inching toward that sweet spot. When the hormones are too strong, it makes me extremely hungry!! It's hard for people to understand who can control their hunger well what it's like to have your body wanting more food when you've eaten enough. I was going to bed with my stomach growling for 5 days in a row one week and my husband was startled by the sound. "What's going on?" I replied whining, "I'm so hungry!"
So no more whining once I get into the thyroid hormone sweet spot. But then when I lose more weight, it's going to need adjusting again. That's how my life is going to be for a while.
I hope this sweet spot helps you! For those who don't have thyroid problems, we will never know what that constant hunger is like. I only can imagine how hard it must be.I was on a plateau for a while, but things are finally kicking in and I only have 3 more pounds to go to meet my goal. Wow, it's hard.

Great job! It's nice when you are losing & not having to try. 🙂Update: 1 more pound to go out of the 10 I wanted to lose!! I haven't been trying the past couple of weeks, so that's good news!!
Just bumping this thread since it's almost 2 months later. Any progress for members here?
You Can Do It!! 😀I had a new goal of hiking 15 miles each week and so far I've been good about meeting it, or at least coming very close. Sometimes the bad weather causes me to change my plans so I am not too hard on myself.
The bad part about meeting this goal is that I'm really tired. And I mean really tired. I get my thyroid blood work done again next week so it's possible it's thyroid hormone related. Exercise used to give me energy, not cause all this fatigue.
The good part is that my bottom half is toning up. I still need to work on my core though so I can fit into those shorts I want to wear this summer. Can I do it???
You Can Do It!! 😀
Maybe cut yourself a bit of slack as you have a physical ailment that is preventing you from meeting your goals. Self-care is just as vital as the physical level.
Do you try to work your abdominals while walking? Just clenching them can help tone a bit.
HA i was meant to be a non-smoker by now......
That’s very true, I am trying but, it’s extremely difficult after smoking for soo many yearsYou still have 6 more months! You can do it!
