No Astronauts cannot go to the Moon

No one ever said that Kirusute, it's just that FOX News stretches the truth and puts random crap on the TV just to make people hate the President.
Yeah I know, There are some people that think that all conservatives are like the people on FOX News and all liberals are like the ones on CNN or MSNBC.
I know that there are some crazy people on both channels and both make stuff up (yes, even you Hannity), but in the end there really is no neutral news channel.

I don't want this to become a topic of Obama or anything, but I think he is a good president.

However, in this case, this should not have been done on his part.

I think you guys misinterperated it. Obama isn't saying to the world that nobody can go to the moon, just that the USA is limiting its space program right now.

I understand limiting it as it takes billions of dollars to run, but cutting it off isn't right.

@fanta: Yes, it was. 😛 Grammar Nazi, but you still know what he's talking about. Unless that was intended...

Obama states that no person (astronauts) cannot go to the Moon anymore. Do you agree with his decision?
Double negative.
Which means that everybody can go to the moon, which would be socialism.
no, it would be socialism if Obama stuffed us all into rockets and forced us into going to the moon 😛

Well if he allowed everybody to go for free it would be socialism.

Would certainly save a hell of a lot of wasted money which could be used to fund better education.

It was a huge waste of money. It isn't providing us with any information or equity, and I don't think we should even have the talk about colonizing a different planet or moon as a option for the future. We'd just be exporting the problems we already have.

'Course if we pulled our troops out of other countries we could do the same darn thing... while promoting peace. I certainly agree with you about needing to fund better education, but I disagree with disabling NASA to do it.

A "robotics" club was started at my school recently and I was forced into it. I'm no longer part of the club, but NASA donated 6k to the project, to promote education in the robotics fields to the younger generation. If you don't believe me;

NASA has been reasonable for most of what the world knows about space, working closely with the international space station and using breaking edge technology. Some may say it's a waste, and hell maybe it is, but for now i'd like to know just what's out there.

You obviously have no clue about what NASA does. NASA doesn't just send people to the moon to jump around and play with rocks. Heck NASA does a ton more than just lunar missions.

Well, no. NASA does much more than sending astronauts to float in space. Ever wonder how so coincidentally humans ended up on a planet, in perfect alignment to the Sun and other planets so we don't get roasted or frozen to death? Ever wondered how we have an atmosphere and a few million kilometres away, a planet is basically dust? You think NASA wants to find answers and as well as seeing it life is sustainable anywhere else, or if there is life some where in the galaxy. That's NASA, not the NASA you're thinking of.

dude you're kidding right? Oh right NASA is just the government feeding us lies. In reality the universe revolves around the Earth like we knew a long time ago, silly scientists trying to troll us.

Right... because removing the source of education lets us have better education...

Well if closing NASA, how can we discover new planets or features on other planets, I am against this decision, but I take it that it will only apply to America.

It would, since Obama can't control other countries' space programs. Though NASA does have some of the best equipment for space missions and such.

Just to throw a spanner into the works here...........anyone every consider that it's because we never went to the moon the first time and Obama is trying to hide that fact? ........just a theory!

That wouldn't be right, because the United States obviously went to the moon.
