You know, I really hope next season I'm actively posting in this thread telling you about Middlesbrough's games in the premier league. Anyway who is top of the table at the moment?

Chelsea are top of the Premier League after 9 games, one point above 2nd placed Manchester United. Manchester United beat Chelsea in the league this week then Chelsea came back and beat them in the Capital One Cup. Two thrilling games in my opinion.

I remember Middlesbrough in the Premier League, they beat Manchester City 8-1 on the last day of the season and I think even Afonso Alves scored that day but I'm not entirely sure.
Yeah I was at that game 😀 I was also at the game when ASTON VILLA beat us which made us relegated 🙁

What game was that and who's ground was it at?

I don't think I remember that game to be honest but I do remember Villa beating Newcastle at home and that sent them down. I think it was an Alan Smith own goal or something like that but they have come back stronger now and they're a decent BPL team now with some wonderful players such as Ba, Ben Arfa, Cisse, etc. 🙂

It was at home. We were 1 nill up and partying then you scored and we needed 3 points to avoid relegation.

Oh right, I don't go to many away games. I've had a season ticket at Villa Park for a good 7+ years now. Carew was the one who equalised in that game, a shame really as I quite liked Carew. I'm not sure how he is still a free agent, he was released by West Ham in late May 2012 so I don't know why no one has picked up on that and taken him into their club but right now he is a free agent.

I'll go and tell Tony Mowbray about Carew 😛

I share the sentiment SwErVz but obviously i mean in regard to Blackpool FC it would be nice if they both go up, we could have some good banter

Haha, I'm sure either teams wouldn't mind how they go up as long as they do get promoted but I'm not sure if Blackpool can suffer that play off trauma two years in a row. They will be looking to challenge for automatic promotion more than anything but they may have to settle for the play offs again.

Sunderland 0 - 1 Aston Villa
Norwich City 1 - 0 Stoke City

I was very happy with the Villa result, great to get the 3 points and a much needed 3 points if I may say so. It was great to see Agbonlahor on the score sheet too, I think it was his first goal in the Premier League for 28 or 29 games and almost a year infact.

Do you know what 22_22 i agree it was nice to see Agbonlahor back to scoring way, few seasons ago i had him in a dream team and he was prolific he just seemed to stop scoring and seemed to slip down the pecking order, pleased for him and pleased for you pal

Yeah, he has had to adapt to a new position too. A real fans favourite at times, for me anyway with his electric speed and the emotion he shows. 🙂

Happy with your season?..

Overall, I would say yes.

One game to play and we've secured Premiership Football for another season. It has been a tough season but we have shown great fighting spirit and determination.

We also had a decent run in the Carling Cup until an unfortunate loss over two legs. Then we loss to Millwall in the same week.

The season has had it's ups and downs but we have come through and shown alot of quality in our attacking play. The link up play between the front three has been exceptional.

I'm going to the Liverpool Villa game at Anfield in 11 days, can't wait!
