Get used to the words, it's all you'll hear!

Do you have a clickable link for that misstake? I'm on iPod so I can't see the video.

Rooney has made his move to Birmingham City. Adam Rooney that is. 😛 Is there anyone else who'd like to share the latest transfer news with us?

Stoke did well in their first European match for 37 years, we beat Hadjuk Split 1 -0 at home in the first first leg of round 3 in the Europa League, Hadjuk had only 400 fans at the ground but they were amazingly noisy, brought flares and created a great atmosphere, the return leg should be absolutely awesome! 🙂

Only a few weeks away now and I predict it will be a very tight league this season with anyone from 5 teams in with a shout of winning it.

Chelsea sign Orioul Romeu from Barcelona in a deal believed to be worth around €5 million. Blackburn sign David Goodwillie from Dundee United.

Transfer Market is soon closing. Who would you like to see added to your team?

My view is money is killing football and players are over valued, Crouch while a half decent player he is no way worth the amount Stoke have just paid, go back 5/6 years and he would have been a £1 million pound player at best. The Premiership is a ticking time bomb and sooner or later the money will dry up and it will be interesting to see how the Premiership Empire comes crashing down and taking a lot of clubs with it.

Rich, I agree it's been that way for a long time now but for us getting Crouch was a major bag, the signings we've made this time will hopefully step us up another level, ok we won't be top 6 but we can aim for top 8 certainly...although nothing in this game is guaranteed!
Peter Coates, our chairman has already told us fans not to expect these kinds of big spends for the future, it was necessary this time but it won't be happening on a regular basis. It's no bad thing, we're probably only one of 5 clubs in the premier league that are not in debt.

On the Peter Crouch front, I have to say, he's our biggest signing in over 117 years so 10 million is not that great compared to some, people tend to forget that while he's 31, he has still scored more goals per game for England than Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen and has scored 10 goals in 7 games last year in the Champions League. He's also still not ruled out for a return to the current England squad just yet.

No doubt he is a major signing for you, I just feel the prices/wages are over the top, look at Eto that is just plain wrong on so many levels. I hope Crouch does well, in Europe teams don't like him due to his size.

Thanks,

The trouble with the prices and wages is that they've all been spoiled and I can't see any way back? There would be all out rioting if they were told their wages were to be cut. Could you imagine the likes of Tevez, Rooney, Gerard, Torez and Dzeko being told they were losing even £1,000 a month less in wages???

The likes of Chelsea and Abramovich started the ball rolling along with "Super Star" status, I doubt there's a single player out there that would be playing if they had to go back to the days of getting mere mortal/commoners wages, or playing semi professionally. Could you imagine it, doing a real day's hard graft then going to the training ground for an hours kick about?

On the money subject of football.. Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given took a£20,000 pound wage decrease so he can play first team footy for us. Also Eto'o... What's he getting? 300k a week?? Well according to a magazine I read and in the same article Messi 180k, C.Ronaldo 200k ? Don't see how he can have 300k a week ? Over the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.

Gaz reckons it somewhere between 320 -350K a week? It's bloody ludicrous!!!

Bloody oligarchs !!!!!

Dear lord Stoke took a bit of a battering today

Ah well, you can't be perfect every game 😛
