Who gets farther in life: nice people or ruthless people who are corrupt in nature and will do whatever is needed to succeed whether it's ethical or not?
Attitudes have nothing to do with what I'm getting at. Do you think someone who is truly a nice person will get farther then someone who will do whatever it takes to succeed?
Say you have two people wanting a job at Wal Mart's corporate office. One person is a nice person, sees the good in everyone, and wants to earn the job fair and square. The other person, however, will stop at nothing to get the job and ruin it for the other person.
Who do you think will get farther assuming the man who doesn't give a (insert curse word here to avoid angering anyone with power) isn't a complete dumb(insert curse word of choice to avoid angering anyone in a position of power.)
In your eyes, being a jerk is a bad thing. In my eyes, being a jerk is so much fun. So, it would be worth it. Even though that's not the point in this topic. Can we keep it to the actual topic? Pwetty please? Do ruthless or nice people get farther in life.
Rocky, how do nice people pull ahead when competing with someone who doesn't care to ruin you? Sure, it may come back to bite you in the butt (prolly not) but you still pulled ahead over the nice guy.
I don't think it really matters how far a nice or ruthless person will go in life since it depends on many other factors, so there isn't a definite answer to your question. Plus, what matters in life isn't the destination per se but the journey itself.
What goes around comes around. What is real can't be faked, and what is faked can't last long. 🙂
Everyone is entitled to opinions...it depends how you want to voice them that matters.
There are ways and means of getting your point across without being a tithead.
