Paying rent

Mortgage is around $1,200/mo, plus a $160 HOA fee. I find that reasonable. The townhouse I rented before was $1,400+ and their website shows it at $1,800+ now, also much smaller and built with cheaper materials.

Sometimes I do miss the $0 it cost to live with mom, though.

What does your HOA include?
 
Earning as you are working and also trying to live and pay off bilss doesn't help.. You get paid low amount and yet prices goes up
 
Indeed living with parents or someone where you don't have to pay rent helps a lot. I had to save like 90% of money till the investment returns takes care of my rent. It's hard and so I make sure to live in small place for time being.
