phpBB: User Discouragement Modification for FPC

A discouragement system is something phpBB always has needed. This modification enables you to discourage a user without him knowing he's a discouraged user. That's why it's more effective then a ban, due the user just thinking the board is broken our bugged. Modification can be enabled / disabled in ACP. For modification settings, go to Board Features in the ACP main tab.

There are a couple ways of discouraging users:

• Giving them a delay (min and max delay configurable, chance of actual getting a delay configurable)
• Redirecting them to another website/webpage (URL configurable, chance of actual being redirected configurable)
• Displaying an error (Chance of getting the error configurable)

This Modification is in re-development and the next version will be free. Some features will be limited though.

To get started, the first copy will only be 5 FPC.

After that each copy will be 20 FPC. If you bought yourself a copy you are free to suggest updates.

Thank you, I PM'd the download link. You may not install it on more then 1 board. You may install it one more time on a board where only you (and your staff) have access too tough.

Okay, if you want it on more boards, you just have to pay another 10 FPC.
Updates allows you to update all your boards with a copy.

I only take suggestions from people who bought a copy.

In what way is it morally wrong? If the coder has put effort into making this mod, why should he not be allowed to charge just 10 fpc (a very small amount) for people to use it?

Because it's open source, and open source means free, plus it's not validated for use on phpBB or with any version of phpBB

Then don't buy it. Easy as that. And phpBB doesn't even check if it conflicts with any other mods. They just check if it's efficiently written and safe. You can easily submit a mod that's not even working in the database as they barely check that.

You haven't even stated which version of phpBB it is suitable for and which it isn't.
Plus you have adapted this from a Xenforo MOD and claimed it as your own without any regard to the original developer, as it is part of the Xenforo core code now, you may also be infringing Xenforo copyright.
