Pokemon X and Y

I haven't battled over wifi in over a year at this point, since before gen 5 even. I'm way too rusty. 😛

They add new moves to mostly all next gen Pokemon games. Pokemon that aren't even "Fairy type" should be able to learn fairy moves depending on the Pokemon.

I don't think Marill (water + fairy) will be able to learn any dangerous fairy moves. Jigglypuff (normal + fairy) looks more of a fairy type Pokemon.

Still, Marill and Jigglypuff suck. I'm more worried about Gardevoir, and what moves are super effective against fairy type Pokemon.

Hopefully you all plan to battle over Wi-Fi. There's a nice tournament coming up soon after the game's release and the prize will make your jaw drop. I've said too much, :/

Because I'm sponsoring the prize. Nintendo is not hosting the tournament, if you were wondering (I'm not hosting it either, btw - I haven't played Pokemon in years so I'm not eligible).

I don't expect Nintendo to give away X, Y, and Z just for a tournament. They are trying to steal Let's Play YouTube publishers' money.. :/ (that says enough).
 
I'm actually considering buying a 3DS just for these two new games. Wouldn't be the first time I've done that when it comes to the Pokemon games. Now Clefable I can see as a Fairy, but Jigglypuff? Come on now.

These games look amazing! I'll definitely be picking up X when it comes out. Those Sky Battles look great. 😀

Oh wow, never noticed about this thread in ForumPromotion Before. I cant wait for it released date. I wanted to see all this new and old Pokemon in 3D Mode! Muhahaha!
 
I'm excited for the new Mega version of a few Pokemon such as Mewtwo/Lucario/Blaziken.

I got Pokemon Y and it's amazing. IMO, it's the best Pokemon game that I've played, and I've played a lot. If you want to read my full review of the game, let me know.
 
Just beat X for the second time a couple days ago, beat Y once. Starting to get tired of the game, thinking I'm set till Z (or whatever the third make is).

Bring on the 3rd gen remakes! 😀

That's just how I was whenever I played a Pokemon game as a kid. I didn't care about type matchups or anything like that. If a Pokemon looked like something I'd like to have in my collection, I'd capture it without thinking of the strengths/weaknesses/whatever. Nowdays, I too know a little better than I did. But as a child, I could care less about completing the Pokedex. If I saw a Pokemon I liked in the wild, and if I had enough Pokeballs on me, then it was mine and I'd stay up all night trying to catch the darn thing if I had to! Now I take the games a bit more seriously than that, and this includes taking types into consideration, like what types are better than others for battles and such.
