If worst comes to worse, just resend your password via email.

Get CCleaner. It's a great program and it cleans your unneeded files and your registry. You can't do better for a free program. 🙂
 
Birdy, I can't be 100% sure if CCleaner keeps your passwords, because I use Firefox but on my Firefox it does, I tested it on IE8 and took some screen shots for you, it shouldn't remove them because it didn't for me but again I can't be 100% sure.

I doubt it is a Virus because you scan your system each day and you scanned it not to long ago with Mbam remember? 😛.

Take a look at these screen shots, if I were you I would get a guy to come over but careful because they are sharks they will rob you 😛.





 
Thank you Azza hon that is extremely helpful - I shall look at your post and screen shots when i get on my big screen in about an hour - in the garden on my dell at the mo.

I will see if I can sort this out myself before calling in a guy I know - he is fine he knows me - set hourly charge...........but I do like to do things myself if I can.

I just don't want to lose all my logins and passwords as I have soooo many it would drive me crazy lol!

Well it shouldn't, didn't for me on IE and never does on Firefox, but who knows it could act differently for you. As-long as you know the guy thats fine, people in Aus will charge $50 a hour to come to your house and fix stuff that you can do yourself LOL.

Good luck, this is a weird problem to be honest, haven't ever experience it before. :S
 
I think you should test out other browsers like Chrome or Safari or Opera, before coming to conclusions it is a virus...
 
I possibly could, some viruses aren't detected by all anti-virus software 😉
 
Ok downloaded and ran CCcleaner - its found 96 "thingys" but now it wants $39.00 for the Reg Key to clean them - I thought it was free ? :shrug:
 
Did you - where ? Everyone said this was a free programme ?

Confused I am ............
 
Try HijackThis... pretty sure people can tell you what to remove 🙂

It is free... Did you download it from this site - http://www.ccleaner.com/

I have it and use it very often and haven't paid anything.
