I think for a while a few years ago now, the web was flooded with Promotion/Webmaster forums and everyone just became copies of each other and there was nothing truly unique to them. A lot of these places have since closed down/rebranded or gone a totally different direction.

This potentially creates a gap in the market for a new promotion forum - then again is there a need for one as forums themselves are not as popular as they once were? I think it comes down to what has already been said a few times, what can you offer that others can’t? What are you offering that makes you unique that makes other forum/blog owners want to keep coming back and using your services over others? Is it the speed and quality of the service? Is it a a unique service itself? Is it the credit/reward structure you have?

If you don’t have any of the above you could absolutely still launch and probably do alright but will it last?

You would likely need to focus on more than just forums.

If I started a promotion forum (I'm not going to lol), I would focus on forums, blogs, modern communities, newsletters, and social media brands. Get them all involved. Give them all a place to promote.

No one is doing that yet.

It might be a winner.

I don't want to build that in reality but I'd join and be actvie on it.

I completely agree with this! If you get a strong team that can do all of the above than you can have a really solid promotional forum. Those are the categories people are most looking for help in anyways so you might as well offer that.
