Yeah, some people believe it's the only way to earn money though, and its not. Some just do it for the pleasure which is just wrong.

Depends on the situation... someone being pushed into it, due to either poverty or abuse in any sort of way is terrible... absolutely terrible.

But if however someone decides that "what the heck... I want a new telly so might as well sell my body", and they don't mind, then whom am I to judge! lol! Each to their own.

I agree with pokbg. If its their choice, then let them have at it. Being forced into it for any reason though, even lack of money, should be morally wrong. That begs the question though, if they arnt short on money, but they still want to do it, why should they charge? Bleh, I just think if they want to do it let them, but dont allow people to force them to.

I pretty much agree with that. Sometimes it is the only option they have to get money or they won't be able to live.

People who do it for a bit of cash on the side or for pleasure are disgusting.

I am strongly against prostitution... I used to feel that it is there choice and so if they chose to do it it is up to them but as people from the UK will know they was a massive news story about 2 years ago now where 5 prostitutes got murdered near where i live. Hearing the stories behind the people were sad and did change my opinion as they needed the money and that was the only way they could get it. Even after some disappeared they still went out on the streets as even though there was a mass murder around killing their friends they really had no choice.

In Lictenberg, the area of Berlin I live in. You get around 4 prostitutes on every street. Even the Polizei enjoy their services.

We only have a few now over the whole town where i live... Since all the murders the town is now covered with loads of CCTV and the police are always around the trouble areas.

Prostitution is quite pathetic in my opinion. The reason for this, is the fact that it is just not natural in any way. Having sex just for money and not for its original purpose is downright pointless.

Exactly, and if it's legalized the government would regulate it, like they do in the Netherlands- so the women stay clean.

It's hard for me to have an opinion on this issue. On one hand, I don't think sex should be such a casual thing, or a salable commodity. On the other hand, some people really don't have much choice.

I don't personally think that prostitution is right, but I wouldn't hate somebody just because they are forced to sell themselves.

It has occurred to me that everyone he is coming to a mutual agreement - prostitution in itself isn't an issue, but our completely failed economy and society that forces women into prostitution is.

Prostitution has been around forever.....nothing will change that. What would be a constructive thing to do would for it to be made safer....instead of condemning and forcing women to desperate measures.

Yes, so maybe we should start by addressing that issue... or perhaps by making prostitution a less viable option? The problem is that I have no idea how this would be done.
