Earlier today my site Revillution.com was hacked due to an exploit in vBulletin 3.8.7. The damage was bad enough to the point where, I couldn't restore it, so now I'm having to start fresh, clean. I'm finally putting my IPB license to use I guess. So it's no longer for sale as I'll be using it for my site now....Just hope we don't have any further problems....

This is the first time I've heard of a vBulletin forum getting hacked - what plugins were you using? Next time have an off-site backup system like r1soft, and make all your passwords harder.

This is the first time you've heard of a VB forum getting hacked? Obviously you haven't been paying attention to the news. VB made national headlines because of security problems with the 4.0.x series, hence why many VB customers now use either IPB or Xenforo. But, that's what happens when you rush with a release of something: You wind up having more problems than you can handle.

Anyway, DarkGizmo, sorry you guys got hacked and hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.

Brett: Yeah man, well it was due to an security vulnerability in a plugin, not vBulletin itself, but yeah.
