Semester 1 grades in!

Hey everyone, semester 1 at my school came to a close about a week ago and all my grades are in. Got As in AP World Hist, Eng 2 Hon, Band 1, & Chorus 3, while I got Bs in Spanish 4, Hon Alg 2, and Hon Chem. Those last 2 kinda suck since I almost had As in both of them but screw it 😛. Got a weighted GPA of 4.42 so I'm happy for now, hopefully next term I can do better and bring my classrank up. How were your grades, for those that recently got them?

Dude its Florida they give you a 5 for an honors class unlike a 4.6 at my old school in mass so its not that good 😛, and pretty sure one of my classes is being counted as honors in the system even though its not since its an arts class but w/e 😛.

Weighted GPA from AP/Honors classes.

I did horrible this time around, stress and other factors have screwed me up big time.

Do they do that for all AP/Honor classes?

My brother has taken many AP classes, and they don't do that.. His weighted GPA is a 3.6 or so, I believe.

I believe they add .5 credits for AP classes only. I am in Gifted(Basically honors, but quicker), and we don't have weighted GPA

Yeah its bumped up to 5 in Florida, it was 4.6 in Mass. Weighted GPA doesn't mean anything apart from determining your class rank. I'm in the IB magnet program now so my grades probably won't be as high lol.

I mean an A in an honors or AP class counts as a 5 weighted for a GPA, which I had a 4.42 this semester, or well it might drop to a 4.28 since I believe one of my electives may have counted as honors for some odd reason 😛.

I' in Uni. I truly mark it up to worst life choice I've ever made, though luckily all of them were just elective classes that I took just for credits, so only my GPA was effected, and to top it off, through out highschool I took some college electives in my spare time.
