Do you use a Skype chat as a staff room? Why or why not?

I have one for my forum, but no one talks in it. I could delete it and I'm sure no one would notice. xD

I have never done it and I do not know anyone who does and I have known some ppl online for years and really know where they live. We do talk on the phone though and chat away.

LOL,,,,Would It be wise to be incognito and put on by Batman mask. I dunno? I would give it a go I guess,,maybe.

I have it on my laptop.

Yeah, I do. It makes things really easy as far as communication goes.

Skype I think is the best communication method for staff as most people have it and its easy to get for staff that dont.

I have a skype chat room for staff. I've had it from the beginning. We have moved over to Discord though for our staff meetings/discussions. :r It's more fun and it's just more convenient too!

I think any chat system is good to have a staff chat in, it bonds staff closer usually. 🙂

Yes we use Skype! Though I don't really like Skype because of its errors and delayed messages but that's another story 😛

Why use Skype when you have Facebook and a lot of other better choice ?

We have a Skype chat, but we haven't used it in a while. We've also got a Discord chat that we haven't used much, but it's there if we need it.

I don't use Skype and don't plan on using it. I really don't know anyone who uses it anyway. If my staff want to talk to me, they can PM me, post it in the staff section or send me an email, I'm easy to contact.

I do have a Skype chat set up for staff, but we mainly use other ways of communication. I know it was helpful a while back for discussion and real time communication when we had an influx of trolls and some other issues, rather than using a series of PM's or a report thread.

I enjoy using Skype as it makes communication a lot easier and quicker. Plus it is on my phone so I receive notifications so can't miss a message!

now my company turn to slack, it is more suitable for team chat than skype. You can tag and mention other mems and they will receive emails reminder

I also had a skype chat room for my community forum. I and my staffs were talking there. But now I have deleted the chat room and I have made a section in my forum where only my staffs can make discussion about various things and they are also sharing very useful tips there. 😀 But I still think that Skype chat room worked good for talking for me.

I always use Skype to keep in Communication with my Staff, Posting Threads is time consuming and inconvenient.

Skype / Discord (or some form of management software) is a near essential to good communication. If all hell breaks lose, or if you just want to chill out and talk about life, IM is the best way to do it. It's quick and easy, while also being seamless across multiple devices. Skype is my personal preference for forums.

Depends on the project I'm running or apart of. I've used Skype, Discord, and Slack for team communication in the past. Out of all of them, I must say Slack has been my favourite, with Skype as a distant favourite. Slack really just feels more professional with a more attractive interface.

I do use Skype chats for staff communication because it is easy to use and you can contact your staff in real time. It also lets you leave messages which is useful when they are offline.

Skype is the best way of communication with staff mostly it is used to sending and recieving files.
