It is really hard to make a choice nowadays as you have so many options. I have played with several Android devices (Galaxy S5/S8, LG G4) and iPhone (4S/8). If you asked me my next choice, I would go with iPhone definitely as my Galaxy S8 starts lagging.

What would be your choice in 2018?

iPhone ,but not the iPhone X . I switched from samsung to iPhone 8 last month ,I have no regrets

I am sticking to my Samsung J7 for financial reasons. The iPhone is very expensive here and I feel that it is not cost-effective in terms of the price versus Samsung. The only advantage of iPhone is the prestige that it carries like you are wealthy if your phone is an iPhone.

I heard a lot of positive reviews of J7 but I have bad luck with my two Samsung smartphones, lol

I would prefer a phone on android operating system than iphone ios. I mean apple products are pricey and really not cost-effective for me. I'm not anti-apple or what, I have used some apple products before and I admit they are top of the line compared to android, but android is cheaper and one would get top of the line specs as well without breaking their bank. Every year, both has something to offer and there are people who change phones every year just to keep up with the trend.

A lot of people prefer Android over iOS. it is more a personal choice.

BTW, when you move to a new phone, how could you successfully transfer the data?

As I did before, there was no difficulty, source: https://www.iphonetransferrecovery.com/tutorials/transfer-contacts-from-samsung-to-iphone.html

iPhone because I am using iPhone 4 from 2010 and still now working awesome but not another brand stand against them

iPhone all the way. Much better than the failing Android!

I tend to switch around between both, but i've been pretty happy with my iPhone X.

Android.

Still rocking an HTC from 2012 because I can't afford the ludicrous prices that they are today.

I still love my iPhone even though I’ve had some problems with Apple. I hate the way Android looks. iOS just looks better to me. I will be upgrading to the iPhone X soon.

I'm kind of in the same boat? Its not the perfect phone, but it works well enough and I havent found an Android alternative that I like.

I will definitely go with android as you can get best smartphones under $400 and they will even looks as smooth as 1k$ iphone. And it gives you so much opportunities to customize your phone and stuff. And when you need to replace it, you will spend another 300$, not another grand.

Currently using an iPhone XS Max that I got from work.

I've always used Android. My hubby has an iPhone and he seems to have a lot of problems with it.
