I am a complete grammar nazi. I always use FF, and I hate when there are even minor misspellings in people's posts.

A.K.A.- i hat peeps ho sp311 liek tat.

lulz, misspelling

Hahahaha, epic.
Waht, misspellign wath yuo tklinag buaot?

He spelt mispelling wrong 😀

One of the rules I have on my forums is:

Text speak as used on a mobile/cell phone is to be kept to the absolute minimum.

I do not like people who cannot spell out words on my forums.

I gotta say, LOL is one of my words, I say it all the time lol, lol, lol, have I said it yet?

1 h473 17 \/\/h3n p30pl3 spk 1337. 17 \/\/r3cks /\/\y h3ad.

Seriously, why do people write like that? That took me three minutes to type... Isn't proper English easier to write and understand?

Most of the time, individuals turn into grammar Nazis because they are insecure about their own language skills. (This insecurity is often subconscious.)

How about foreign languages:

Ich Sprechen sie Deutsch

Congratulations on speaking the German.

And bad German at that:

Sprechen is the infinitive. Conjugate it as follows:

Ich spreche Deutsch
Du sprichst Deutsch
Er/sie/es spicht Deutsch
Wir sprechen Deutsch
Ihr sprecht Deutch
Sie/Sie sprechen Deutch

As you can sie the ''du'' and the ''er'' forms (second and third person) are irregular.

Anyway, ''Ich sprechen sie Deutsch'' makes no sense. ''I to speak you German''. German is very logical and the general format of the sentence is: subject - verb - object (''svo'' if you want). Ich (subject) spreche (verb) Deutsch (object).

Not really. I just hate reading piles and piles of 1337. I don't think any of us mind if someone uses ''to'' instead of ''too''. When people get plain sloppy I have difficulty understanding them and get annoyed.

Not really,

I hte peppz wid bahd gramma

Translated: I hate people with bad grammer

I do not mind if people have few spellings or grammar mistakes in there post unless it is a blog post, review, or tutorials. What I really cannot stand is people posting in forums like they are texting.

Anyways, that was bad Deutsch for many reasons. The conjugation, like Dark Raven pointed out, and spreche (or, as you put it, sprechen) should not be capitalized.

Anyways, 1337 really pisses me off. Raven, I agree that nobody minds to instead of too, or vice versa, but

really pisses people off.

W00T!!!! <I still can't believe I used that word>

Wow, that is yet another grammar Nazi thing.

To be honest I really don't mind if people have spelling mistakes in their threads/posts. Sometimes your in a hurry and want to pass your message across, quickly and efficiently. Most of the time people skip a great forum feature that is known as the "Preview" button. ( Located near the Submit button )
Considering that the human mind can read a word as long as the first and last letter are in the correct order, spelling really should not be a problem.
EXAMPLE:
I cnduo't bvleiee taht I culod aulaclty uesdtannrd waht I was rdnaieg. Unisg the icndeblire pweor of the hmuan mnid, aocdcrnig to rseecrah at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mttaer in waht oderr the lterets in a wrod are, the olny irpoamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rhgit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whoutit a pboerlm. Tihs is bucseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey ltteer by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Aaznmig, huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghhuot slelinpg was ipmorantt! See if yuor fdreins can raed tihs too.

What I find annoying is the acronyms used around the internet, I DON'T KNOW THEM! Consequently, I have to search on 'google' their significance. Please don't be lazy and spell the word out!

-Master

I can deal with spelling mistakes because everyone makes them, no matter how pedantic they are, but I can not handle net speak. Net speak drives me up the wall and I couldn't stand it if members used it on my forums, but luckily I haven't had that problem yet.

I think the use of net speak is really rude to use because not everyone can understand it.

Not really,

You are wrong, Sprechen does not always mean "to speak", when used after a verb it is simply "speak" I believe
