This is my first mybb theme creation tell me what you think about this theme and improvments i can make, Forums coming in a few months.

It looks alright.

Honestly though the whole theme is pretty much adding some border-radius and changes 1-2 images and a colour or 2.

At that the border radius is very rough looking and really should be fixed up.

The sidebar needs some padding and to be generally set out better.




Just being honest and anything less will not help you improve.

This is myne it might look similar but i created everything from scratch from the default mybb theme.

Looks good so far, but it's still minimal changes pretty much.

Definitely change the background color, it doesn't match or go well. I would take off a few pixels of the border-radius, seems to round(to me at least).

Hmm. MyBB has lot of good themes. But you always choose ones with minimal edits and complain. 😛

If you want to learn theme designing, start from default MyBB theme and build your own. When you start with editing others themes, you won't learn much.

Now that that's posted, this is pretty much a copy with extremely minimal edits. There is no way something like this happens by coincidence as everything, even the images, are the same.

As kavin said, start from the default and experiment from there. Not take a pre made theme, make a few edits and say it's from scratch.

If you look throughout the coding, it's a PureBeauty theme, just with small edits.

Done it from PureBeuty since I like that theme for a webmaster forum but tweak and modified it for AT.

Now that we found its purebeauty, you now copy from MyBB 2.0 inspired theme by Sukanjan?

The menu, thead image, login, bottommenu, etc are copied from it.

As i already said, try doing a theme from scratch. It will help you to learn theme designing better.
If you just copy codes from one theme to another and make a new one, it won't help you at all.

Themes are not the thing that make a forum joinable or popular. It's what you offer to make yourself stand out from the rest.

If your looking for a professional theme, I suggest you get a custom one made to your liking. I've seen great themes for MyBB, you just have to look. Their theme database is not the best place either, I rarely see any submitted there.
