Staff talking behind members backs?

Staff usually discuss a member who displays poor behavior. They try to determine if the member can be motivated to change the behavior (rehabilitation), needs to be put on mod queue or if it's time to issue a ban. These types of discussion help salvage a forum so they're necessary.

Now, if you don't mean the type of discussion I posted above, then do you mean "gossip"? Gossip for the sake of gossip is really bad form.

This I agree on.

There's going to be a section for staff to talk privately about the goings on on the forum. One of those things is going to be discussing what happens and what has been done about a person who behaves poorly on a forum. That's going to come up on a forum. I've had this happen on a forum I use to have several years ago. I had a member of the forum ask for a position on the staff and I didn't give it to them because this particular person didn't follow the rules. And I can't have a staff member who doesn't accept and follow the current rules. This person was also rude to the other staff members I had on my forum at the time and I don't like it when people are rude to others, especially for no reason. Well that person got all butt hurt because I didn't give them the position to them and I gave it to someone else instead. The person ended up getting perma banned from the forum in the end.

Staff has to have a one to input about members other than a private message. Just to have that communication between the members so that every staff member can read it and understand what is going on. Believe me it's not they are calling people names or anything like that, to me it's more of an informative discussion.

Staff members can discuss about members who are giving their best or those who are posting things that ain't helpful to the forum.
