Clicks IN, just means people clicked The Web Tower banner on another site (it's a backlink to TWT) - thus promoting the banners rank amongst the tower.

Clicks OUT, just means people clicked a banner ON The Web Tower linking to another site. This is just to show users how much activity on their site they're getting from TWT.

Ok that's a good idea, I advise you put this in the FAQ because on most topsites etc, IN is good and OUT is bad.
 
If you take a look at XtremeTop100.com you will notice the IN is green, this being that people genuinely wanted to vote for the site, and red being OUT, this means when people vote they clicked the option: "Click here if you were tricked to vote", added to that sites OUT. Take a look at the top World Of Warcraft server, you will notice it has alot of OUT, this meaning they force people to vote 🙂.

So OUT=Bad, IN=Good, so good idea to put it in the FAQ 🙂.
 
Do you only allow one click in/out for an IP address? I've clicked my button a fair few times and it still says says 2 (because I know somebody else clicked it)...
 
OUT can be clicked by same IP as many times as you want, but IN is only 1 per IP.

I just looked at xtremetop100.com. They're using OUT the same way as me. It's only marked red to distinguish the difference - IN being the one they order users by and it being the most significant. Click a banner, it increases OUT. Click it from their site, it increases IN.

Whats the difference between an IN and an OUT?
IN means that someone has voted correctly for the server/guild/clan/website they are voting for.
OUT means someone has either voted for the guild/clan incorrectly or someone googled the server/guild/clan/website and just click the button to see the about us.

Hmm so I could possibly be wrong. I was always told IN is good, OUT is bad then when I clicked on "Click here if you have been forced to vote" the sites IN stayed the same but OUT went up by 1 ^^. Also the IN being green and OUT being red tricked me too 😛.

Me too, I always like to check who's on top etc, make sure my button still there and stuff ^_^. It's a fun site can't wait for the forums to be up 😛.
 
Oh yeah, the forums will hopefully be great.

Maybe more of a webmaster/promotion board though. Not just promotion. Have stuff like a proper market place, SEO, Admin, Hosting, Domains, Web Design, thing like that.
