The Conner Robinson Appeal

Glad to hear he's still doing so well. He must have improved since we last talked.

I will try and send yet another donation next week.

We saw his dad yesterday, the latest pictures of Conner are quite upsetting, his arms and legs are stick thin yet his abdomen is huge due to all the fluid, even I didn't realise how much fluid build up there was, he's gained around 5 kilo's just in water 🙁 He's also very yellow as there is a problem with his liver, his dad just keeps calling him Bart as he looks like a Simpson
The strength and resilience of the family is amazing....

This morning there was news that he's finally beating the VOD (fluid thing) as he's starting to lose weight so fingers crossed he can come home to our local hospital very soon 🙂

......and Aaron, you donated so much already, bless your heart x

A MASSIVE Thank you to The Reverend and Optimus Fluffy for their donations again this week, you guys are amazing and really do have great hearts. I'll be sure to let the family know how much everyone here is thinking of them 🙂 x

Here in the UK the NHS covers everything that is required as a medical necessity, most procedures are done during the day and you don't have to stay in but even if you do it's all covered the same. The only thing the NHS does not cover automatically are things like cosmetic surgery, boob jobs, non essential things....however you can sometimes get these done on the NHS if you cry loud enough.

All of Conner's treatment regardless of what he has IS covered by the NHS funding, only if there is treatment needed in another country that we don't provide here in the UK will we need to raise more funds 😉

Conner is still in the hospital following his last lot of treatment but they are hoping to transfer him back to our local hospital sometime soon god willing, he is scheduled to be back down in Birmingham though in 29 days time to start his Radiotherapy treatment which will last for 6 weeks 🙁

That does sound similar to the coverage benefits we get here, actually. Hope all is well and still praying for you guys.

Glad to help. Will try and make another one in a couple weeks.

Just to let you all know, Conner is now back in his home town hospital and the VOD (fluid issues) are now sorted out, he's doing much better.

He's due to start his next round of treatment, the Radiotherapy in approx 20 days time back down in Birmingham 🙂

Thanks Jay,

Small update, the radiotherapy may not happen until Nov/Dec now as they have to have a clear set of time for his body to recover but the next step is to get him home on day release from the local hospital which will hopefully be sometime very soon. 🙂

A small update for everyone, Conner is now home from hospital and is doing extremely well, he's eating better and is managing to crawl around again, he's slowly gaining some weight. he had an MRI scan on Monday to see how things are going but the results won't be back yet.

His radiotherapy will begin mid November and will last for 5 weeks but he will have to go under a general anaesthetic every day for one hour for the whole 5 weeks which is going to be tough.

keep saying those prayers for him as he's doing so well, thank you to everyone that's followed his story and made donations so far 🙂

I started crying when I read this...for so long..a hard fought battle comes to an end.

We are still collecting funds, we want to give our boy the best send off possible and have some left to repay the hospitals that helped him 🙂

....and I know it was just so sudden, out of nowhere

I have placed the notice on Dntemple.net as well as posted a message with a quote from you, also digging the topic and stumbled them along with facebook sharing.

I'm still in shock about how sudden this was.
