The Snow Discussion Thread

Absolutely no snow in Tennessee so far. It has not snowed since March, I think. I can't wait until the snow returns.

Had a light dusting of snow other morning. But its sorter trying to snow here now im Birmingham.

I just heard on the weather there is a possibility for a ton of rain or a little bit of flurries tomorrow. Good driving weather

It snows every year here in Greece! Much snow around the city I live. It's wonderful! 🙂

We got some hail up here on thanksgiving that lasted a few hours but that's it... here on LI we don't usually get just little pepperings of snow. It's either gigantic blizzards with 4 feet of snow or nothing. I remember last school year I had 5 snowdays.

My school was closed for the first ever time in our 8 year history today because it is actually a safety issue there is so much.

Yeah our district allows for 3 snowdays, and if there are more, days are taken off our spring vacation. I remember last year the monday of the week off was made a schoolday. I recall I didn't go the monday of the week off, the attendance for that day was a very small number... I think they also put school on the day after memorial day but I don't think a lot of people showed up then either 😛

My god... It has been snowing for the last 9 hours near enough non stop. It has taken me about 2 hours to get home from work (twice aslong as usual) and i am bloody freezing, miserable, annoyed and hungry.

We've had a steady flow of snow here in Staffordshire all day, there's probably around 4 inches now. I actually love the snow and wish it would be like it was when I was kid, you used to have to dig your way out 😎
Although I have to get down to London on Saturday morning so it needs to be gone by then

Well its finally snowed in London, snowed all day although most of it seems to of melted still more snow due until midnight

From 2005, about 1/4 mile from where I lived. About 36"-40" at my house in about a day.

Wonder if you live nearby where I live, or if that was just a bad winter. I believe it was that year, in southern Indiana, we had three feet of snow. Just about everything was shut down, it usually snows an inch or two at most around here. Last year we had a few good snows of 4-5 inches, and the year before that (I think, maybe that same year) we had a huge ice storm, like three inches of solid ice covered everything. And since the area was not equipped for that sort of thing, many many people were without heat or power for days, some as much as a week, and the shelters were overflowing. We usually don't get any snow until January and February, rarely does it snow before the end of the year, and usually its just some flurries, nothing major.

2 INCHES XD. We've had over 10 and our school's still open today. Only delayed.

I woke up today and it was snowing!!! It is still coming down a bit, and there's actually some of accumulation! I can still see the grass though, and there's nothing on the roads, but it's still cool that the first significant snowfall of the season was on December 1st 😀

YAY!! No school tomorrow because its snowing. 😀

I'm in Massachusetts, that blizzard in '05 was one of the worst the state ever had. Couple years before that we had an ice storm in Connecticut just like you described. Some people were without power for 10 days, with CL&P being so backed up.

It still hasn't snowed here yet, but I wish it would. all we've had were some flurries.
