Thinking about making a social network

I really have to take the sides of others when they say that you will not get anywhere. It is an expensive website to create.

Another thing is that you are not going to just get all these members in a month. You are going to spend all that money to get like 5 members in a month.

This is just my opinion, if you want to do this, go for it.
 
I mainly Started With Forums But What I've learned from forming is
Advanced HTML Knowledge And basic php (still learning)

If you want me to show you want I have learned from HTML I be happy to 😀


And it might be A few years before I Start creating this site
 
I read a line somewhere a week ago.

And you are forgetting, Facebook has some of the smartest people in the world working for them and they are worth more than $50 Billion. They started with thousands of dollers pumped into the project and a full team of coders working 34 hour days, can you really put that much into your social network?
 
Thinking of competing with Facebook, Google+? Heh, no offence, but you and anyone else is going no where. The whole point of social networks is that your friends are ALREADY there? Why would they come to yours, you have nothing they don't? Do you Facebooks undying brand name with it's classic design? Do you have Google+'s amazing advertising and promotion, along with it's funding? No. Drop it now and go for something achievable, if Google+ is barely giving Facebook a run for their money, why would you?
 
Will basically Im on the computer in my free time & As for the host that's what my forums on not Social network

I'm going to learn more PHP & Get A part time job to bring the income in as for the Develpopers I know some Friends That know PHP That can help

It's going to be a network for Nintendo were you can post & Recieve friend codes & Live Video Chat etc and few more unique ideas
 
All I will say, is learn to program before announcing stuff like this...
 
you have a good point im leaning PHP programming now i shall start work in about 6 months

Exactly, which brings back to my 1st question, "You think you can code the world with PHP?"

Don't think about starting in 6 months, more like after you finish college get some money and then start.
